In this workshop I will show you step by step how to make a doll with a rotating head.
The finished doll will be 13" (app. 33 cm) tall.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN THIS WORKSHOP?
• Everything about materials, tools & sources of supply
• Using an armature to make a rotating neck
• Needle felting a sweet face
• Covering the head with fabric
• Adding the facial features like lips and dimples
• How to embroidery doll's eyes
• Putting color on to the skin
• Making a doll-wig with mohair weft
• Stuffing the body, and attaching the pieces together
You will get the patterns so that you can use them for your future dolls.
You will bring the mohair wefts of your choice and a mohair yarn in fitting color with you to make the doll wig.
All other materials and tools will be provided during the workshop.
If you wish, I can organize the wig for you for an additional 50 Euros. Please contact me until the end of April in this case.

How does the application function?
To reserve your spot, a non-refundable deposit of 90 Euros have to be paid.
The remaining 300 Euros are due 1st of April 2024.
I'll inform you on 7th of April, after all payments are done, and the minimum number of participants have completed their enrollment. Please wait to make your flight and hotel reservations until you get informed by me.
I hope you'd understand that the fees cannot be returned after this stage. Only if I can find a substitute for your spot I'll gladly return your payment.
All registrations made after April 1st, have to pay the total participation fee.

This doll making tutorial explains how to make a 35 cm tall doll with a needle-felted sculpted head, embroidered eyes, knees, bum, belly button and with alpaca hair.
You will learn how to needle felt the head, how to stuff the body and the limbs with the classical way as well as with the rolling wool technique, also to make a wig with industrial wefts like mohair or alpaca. This tutorial also contains an instruction to create a two pieces doll clothing. The patterns for the doll and the clothing are included in the tutorial.
This is an INTERMEDIATE level doll making pattern. You don't need to have some previous doll making experience but some craft skills to be able to make the doll explained in this tutorial (or a lot of patience and endurance :) )
I also give you many tips and information on doll making and list of suppliers.
This tutorial is written in English, however due to the many pictures it is easy to follow for non native speakers.
